This exciting choir, run by Audrey Mattis, is for young people (boys and girls) in Years 7-13 who either attend school or live in the Borough of Trafford.

Rehearsals take place on Tuesdays during term time from 4.15 - 5.15pm. As from January 2010, the venue will change from Wellacre College to St Antony's Catholic College, Bradfield Road, Urmston, M41 9PD.

The Senior Youth Choir performed along with several Primary/Junior schools in a very successful singing event at the Robert Bolt Theatre in June 2009 which was part of Sale Festival. They were also involved in a Trafford choirs singing event - 'Young Voices' - which took place in November 2009, also at the Robert Bolt Theatre.

Subscriptions are charged in line with that paid by children attending the Music Centres, and are currently £54 per year.  For the first term in which a child joins the choir no subscription will be charged but they will need to purchase a choir polo shirt to wear at performances and singing days.

Social events are planned for the end of each term if possible, and in the past have included ten pin bowling, ice skating and a trip to Blackpool Pleasure Beach.

Audrey Mattis is very keen for new young people to join the Senior Youth Choir where they are guaranteed to have an enjoyable time singing a varied and exciting repertoire of songs.
